The original context of Marx and Engels’social theory includes three aspects: historical materialism, criticism of political economy, scientific socialism and communism. After Marx and Engels, Marxist social theory presents a rich and diverse narrative space. Since the“Second International”, Marxist social theory has been divided and fragmented, with different stages showing different characteristics and influences. The ideologi? cal history of the development of Marxist social theory in this period should be evaluated dialectically and exam? ined rationally. We should adhere to the unity of accurate understanding of theory and correct guidance of prac? tice, the unity of the interests of the proletarian party and the people, and the unity of stage goals and ultimate goals, and constantly promote the innovation and development of contemporary Chinese Marxist social theory.
