With its unique advantages and years of construction, universities with industry characteristics have gained strong strength, but there are still some shortcomings. When following the construction wave of “double first-class” universities, universities with industry characteristics should actively respond to national strategies, seize development opportunities, undertake historical missions and promote the development of higher educa? tion. By analyzing the problems of industry reduction, characteristics weakening and application weakening in the development of universities with industry characteristics, this paper proposes development strategies such as discipline integration, elite training and industry guidance, hoping to provide inspiration for the construction of “double first-class” universities of the same type and level.
