The purpose of figuring out the interpretive structure of ecological writing is to explain the discursive logic and construction principles of ecological literature. We take the way of speech of Doerr’s novel as a start, mainly by means of eco-critical presupposition of the text, and try to reveal the structure of ecological conscious? ness, aesthetic time and space, and expression mechanism of the text based on the events and aesthetic catego? ries of the novel’s speech. Although the proposition to which the ecological novel refers belongs to the text it? self, it is by asking general questions about the novel that we further deepen the ecological connotation of Doerr’ s novel. In other words, in the process of moving from specific textual interpretation to theoretical analysis, we not only clarify the interpretive path of ecological novels, but also promote the theoretical construction of ecocriticism.
