The structure of a short feature film is quite similar to the mixture of mini-fiction and poetry. The con? tent of the short feature film determines the time and spatial form of the short film, in which the simple story characters and concise meaning get the maximum compression and expansion at the time and space level. Com? pared with the regular feature films, the scenes and events of the short feature films emphasize more on the con? struction of the characters’own form of the short story, i.e. the characters are the stories. On one hand, it is the cognition of the characters that tends to become a single point, which is the flat-shaped setting of the characters. On the other hand, it is based on the simplification and viewing of the principle of visu? al perception, the similarity, unity and uniqueness of the character settings. The flat-shaped tendency of short film character form is determined by the simplified law of art and visual perception which is called watching mate? rial.
