Since the 18th National Congress, the Communist Party of China in the New Era with Xi Jinping as the core, guided by Marxist ecological thought, has clarified the essential attribute of ecological civilization and its internal relationship with socialism, deeply grasped the experience and lessons of socialist ecological civilization construction and discards the inherent drawbacks of capitalist green development path, and has combined the inherent demands and organic links between the construction of socialist ecological civilization with Chinese characteristics and the construction of global ecological civilization. The Party initially puts forward the ecological civilization construction road that was featured by people-orientation in all fields and the socialist ecological civilization construction road which was featured by internal unity, harmony and coexistence and coordinated development guided by the thought of building a community with a shared future for mankind.
