Faced with increasingly prominent ecological problems，General Secretary Xi Jinping stands in a new historical position and proposes his ecological civilization thoughts，which are rich in content and far-reaching． Based on the new era，Xi Jinping’s ecological civilization thoughts include four aspects: locality，affinity to the people, the feature of legality and globality． Considering the ecological wisdom of Xi Jinping from the perspectives of materialism that respects objective ecological practice，the epistemology of continuous developing from the“two mountains theory”，dialectics from the protection of ecology and economic development and the historical materialism based on the ecological interests of the people is conducive to reveal the trend of contemporary ecological civilization construction with a philosophical perspective．
