The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasizes that to build a strong socialist ideology, we must resist all wrong ideas, thus it is imperative to oppose historical nihilism. In this regard, General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward a series of important ideas, which provided theoretical guidance for finding a solution at source in the ideological field. General Secretary Xi Jinping's logic of opposing historical nihilism could be summarized in three aspects: theoretically, it clarifies the harmful nature of historical nihilism; historically, it points out the historical main line of opposing historical nihilism; and realistically, it points out the overall strategy of opposing historical nihilism.
