No country or political party can ignore the plasticity and development potential of youth. On the basis of the great task of building a communist society for young people in Soviet Russia, Lenin discussed the education and training of young people and formed his view of youth focusing on the two core issues of“what to learn” and“how to learn”. Taking the young people of the new era shouldering the lofty historical mission as the starting point,Xi Jinping expounded the education and training of young people, formed his youth outlook in the new era, focusing on the two core issues of “who are to be cultivated” and “how to cultivate”. This paper makes a comparative study of Xi Jinping and Lenins youth view, discovers the commonality and timeliness of cultivating socialist youth, clarifies the direction, defines goals, and providing a path for young people in the new era, enlightens the vast majority of young people to fulfill their youthful dreams in the great practice of achieving national rejuvenation.
