    摘要:

    "气韵生动"是中国古典美学中的核心概念,自20世纪初始,以翟里斯、高居翰等为代表的西方汉学家及美术史家结合中西绘画的审美经验对这一重要的概念进行了解释,它的含义发生了重要的变化。"气韵生动"概念的西译轨迹折射出了西方学者审美中不断变迁的东方理想,并且进一步地影响到了滕固、宗白华等现代美学家对这一重要概念的理解。考察"气韵生动"的本义,进一步梳理这一概念在西传中的不同译法,对于我们理解古典美学概念在不同文化传播中所显现的特殊性大有裨益,也能反映出中西方不同的文化心理与审美趣味,因而极具问题价值。

    Abstract:

    “A sense of movement through spirit consonance”is the core concept of Chinese classical aesthetics. At the beginning of the 20th century,western sinologist and art historians,represented by Herbert Giles and Cahill James,combined the aesthetic experience of Chinese and western painting to interpret this important concept, which meaning has changed significantly.The western translation of the concept of "A sense of movement through spirit consonance”reflects the ever changing eastern ideal in the aesthetics of western scholars, and further affects the understanding of this important concept by modern aesthetes such as TENG Gu and ZONG Baihua. Examining the original meaning of “a sense of movement through spirit consonance”and further sorting out the different translation methods of this concept in western biography is of great benefit to our understanding of the particularity of the concept of art in different cultural transmission, as well as reflecting the different culturalpsychology and aesthetic taste of China and the west,so it's very valuable.
