As an important component of excellent traditional culture, Yangming’s philosophy of mind is homogeneous with the socialist core values. Both of them emphasize human subjectivity, social responsibility consciousness and the pursuit of “virtue”, which is the important source of cultivating socialist core values. The unity of knowledge and action, with rich connotations, is the core concept of Yangming’s philosophy of mind, as well as the innovative development of the traditional issue of knowing and doing, and it also has profound significance for cultivating and practicing socialist core values in new era. The unity of knowledge and action means preparation in mind, practice in successive, mastery of truth, and integration of knowledge and practice. Thereby, it internalize the mind and externalize it into action. The theory meanwhile, is conducive to carrving forward the fine traditional culture, consolidating the culture and enhancing cultural confidence.
