British contemporary writer Ian McEwan probes into the fierce conflict between the conservatism and the sexual freedom ideology before the sex liberation at the 1960s in his novella 〖WTBX〗On Chesil Beach〖WTBZ〗 (2007). The farewell between the newlywedded couple reflects the revolution in the sex culture context and embeds the trauma origin existing in the family system and class distribution. McEwan’s delineation of the sexuality dilemma not only discloses the abnormal physiological, social and cultural origin in personal sexual status, it further exposes the retrospection of the social influence at the historical context and discusses the ethical aspect of sexuality in the multilevel inspect of sex trauma.
