ristotle divided philia into useful philia, happy philia and good philia. He believed that philia had the characteristics of reciprocity, comparability and common life. This requires us to reexamine the existing view of philia from both theory and practice, to eliminate all kinds of misunderstanding and prejudice, and reconstruct the concept of philia that adapts the requirements of socialist harmonious development. The discussion of Aristotle’s concept of philia will help create a friendly social atmosphere from self harmony and interpersonal harmony to social harmony based on the correct concept of philia. It will help promote socialist core values and strengthen social stability and development as well as propagate positive energy of philia.
