Abstract:Ritual theory is an important category in the study of literary anthropology, which plays an important role in revealing the charm of dramatic literature. In MO Yan’s new work Jinyi, on the one hand, women become an important object of observation, which shows specific symbolic meaning in the ritual process; on the other hand, the process of female’s identity reconstruction corresponds to the transition ritual process of separation, threshold, and integration. The interaction between drama and ritual reveals the possibility and dilemma of female’s identity reconstruction in Jinyi, thus extending the realistic meaning space of the text.
