Commercialization is an important trend in today’s world of aviation meteorological service development, which roots from the more higher requirements of the aviation industry developmentfor civil aviation meteorological services, the increasingly diverseaviation meteorological interest demand, the increasingly commercialized meteorological service model, and the increasingly initiative meteorological serviceways. China’s aviation meteorological commercialization is of a low level, aviation meteorological commodity market has not been efficiently formed yet, and civil aviation meteorological industry is of very limited scale. Commercialization is the inevitable course of aviation weather service development and civil aviation meteorological service innovation and product development is a significant choice for the sustainable development of China’s civil aviation meteorological industry. Of course, the civil aviation meteorological service commercialization is more of a trend and reform philosophy.To promote the development of China’s civil aviation meteorological industry through commercialization never means translating all of the public aviation meteorological service into commercial meteorological service. Rather, aviation weather service commercialization should have certain limits. To promote and protectChina’s civil aviation meteorological service products,the adjustment range of aviation meteorological law should be expanded and public and paid meteorological service should be developed simultaneously; a feasible competition mechanism of aviation meteorological service should be introduced and aviation weather access and licensing system should be established and improved; aviation meteorological service quality management system should be intensified and aviation meteorological service quality assessment approach should be developed.
