Consultative democracy representsthe development direction of China’s democratic politics.It is an important way of promoting the new rural constructionand a new pattern of constructing basicleveled rural democracy. Currently, the concept of consultative democracy penetrates into the politics, economy, and life of rural community and the institutionalized consultative democracy is in constant progress in the extensive basicleveled practice of rural community. However, this process does not go smoothly, with some urgent problems demanding immediate solution.Therefore, nowadays it is necessary to sort out and analyze the current research fruits of institutionalized consultative democracyin rural areas and to raise problems remaining to be discussed deeply, so as to push forward basicleveled deliberative democracy in Chinas rural areas steadily.
