Abstract:In the context of the information age, digital media influences display design in many ways, en- riching features of the display space, expanding its' function, and making it a new design resource. However, with insufficient cognition and theoretical support, its application often generates many new design problems. Consequently, focusing on the nature of digital media, namely, information transmission, from the holistic perspective of creating display space, we should integrate digital media as a new space element and space word into display space. Corresponding design strategy should be summarized based on some relevant cases in 2015 Milan Expo, hopefully to update and improve contemporary display design theory, adapt it to the development of the information age, and provide some help for design practice.
