Jianghai linkage development raises new challenges and new requirements for regional higher vo- cational education reform and development. Higher vocational colleges in Nantong area explores the transformation of higher vocational education by taking such cooperative measures as enhancing the cooperation among the government, colleges, and enterprises, strengthening regional inter-college cooperation, improving “one belt one road” international cooperation, and developing joint education programs. Suggestions are proposed to accelerate the transformation of higher vocational education as follows: construction of modern higher vocational education system is the direction of the transformation; reform of the supply front in higher education is the key to promote the transformation; uniqueness development and dislocation development are the basis of the transformation; international joint programs are the booster to accelerate the transformation.
