Margaret Atwood adheres to her view on female presented in her former novels and breaks through it by revealing female's living conditions. She continues to oppose the restriction on female conducted by the patriarchal society and attempts to put an end to the influence of traditional ideologies like“angel in the house”. She also uses the subjectivity of female's body as the entry point to break the conventional mode of body politics from the gender perspective. Meanwhile, she attaches importance to contradictions among women and directly points out drawbacks of Sisterhood and overthrows it, which paves the way for women to get the true sense of independence.
