Gutian Conference is an important milestone of the construction of the CPC and people's army. It systematically elaborated the status, functions, tasks, connotations, and methods of the CPC's ideological and political work,created a set of relatively scientific mechanism for ideological and political work, which has laid the foundation for the CPC's ideological and political work and become one of the fine traditions of the CPC. The mechanism for ideological and political work established in Gutian Conference has not only become the CPC's powerful weapon to defeat the enemy and achieve victory in the new democratic revolution period but also exerted a profound influence on the construction the CPC, liberation army, and socialist modernization after 1949.
