During the period of social transformation, social contradictions and social conflicts will continue to appear, whose resolution is increasingly difficult. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC National Congress proposes “to improve the prevention and resolution mechanism of social disputes”. The grassroots is the source of interest conflicts and social contradictions and the first defense line to maintain social stability. The research team, with the investigation to Quanzhou grassroots social contradictions as a sample,by studying the specific manifestations of grass-roots social contradictions, explores the modernized management measures to prevent and resolve grass-roots social contradictions: to convert social management concepts and achieving consensus, to build a diversified society governance body, and to create a valid prevention resolution mechanism.
