TAN Ping-shan is a patriotic and outstanding proletarian Marxist fighter in the modern Chinese revolutionary history of revoluition of China. He struggled determinedly for Chinese democratic revolution, making indelible contribution. However, the evaluation of such a great democratic revolutionist is controversial,with “opportunist” prevalent. It is proved that TAN Ping-shan, rather than an opportunist, is a great “practical activist”, whose historical achievements and status should be re-confirmed.
