The Outer Space Treaty and The Moon Agreement are the main international treaties regulating the development activities of space resources. It stipulates the development and utilization of existing space re? sources, which are of positive significance in regulating the development of space resources. But they also have shortcomings. At present, the development of space resources involves a series of legal problems that need to be properly solved, including the legal status of the moon and other celestial objects, the legal nature and owner? ship of space resources, etc. The Moon Agreement has built the foundation for the future space resource develop? ment system. However, the international community urgently needs to reach a consensus on the future space re? source development system.
